The Blugirl fall/winter 2015 collection unfolded with an air of top-of-the-class, youthful success.
Catered this time to a more erudite, urban princess, Anna Molinari put Savile Row sartorial looks on show. Thanksgiving and cartoonish Christmas color plaids were splashed onto wool blazers and oversized peacoats.
Boyish charm was also played out in terms of footwear — multi-colored wingtips and lace-up high-heeled booties called to mind 1930s pre-war looks.
Molinari’s passion for florals this time was played out in a more baroque, tapestry way — rich palazzo wallpaper patterns were fashioned onto shift dresses, and Botticelli, satin girlish ball gowns were trimmed with crystals, reminding us of the lavish brocades of yesteryear.
